Bethany's High School Youth Ministry
Be Disciples and Make Disciples.
Our ministry to Senior High Students is
intentionally relational. We desire to see high school students grow
in their relationship with Christ and with each other. We believe
that it is impossible to be a disciple of Jesus in isolation.
Therefore, we have many opportunities available to students.
Opportunities like High Light, small
groups, retreats (Winterfest
2006!) The
Greatfull living, and mission trips,
both local and overseas.
High
Light is the weekly gathering of high school students.
During the school year we eat together at the High Light Café
downstairs, then gather in the "Upper Room" for worship, hearing
of God's word, and discussion. This is a terrific place to meet new
friends and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is.
Small
Groups meet weekly with the
intention of holding each other accountable in our walk with Jesus,
studying God's word, and serving others around us.
We often take students away
on spiritual retreats
that emphasize renewal in our faith
and grow friendships within the group. These retreats range from
weekend retreats at our church camp Pilgrim Pines and Winterfest
2006 at Young Life Lake
Champion, to week long retreats in Northern Maine and the Inside Out Soul
Festival at Loon Mountain. In addition to this, we have a once in a
lifetime conference called CHIC (Covenant
High In Christ) in Knoxville TN, were we gather together with thousands of
other Covenant youth from around the country.
Greatfull
Living is a music group comprised of junior and senior highers. About
every 6 weeks we will both perform and lead the congregation in singing.
Contemporary and gospel style music will be the focus. We will meet most
Sundays from 5-6 pm at Bethany. Practices will take place in the sanctuary
or common’s room. (If there is no Senior High on a night we rehearse
then we will Supersize it--that is practice from 5-7 and order
pizza!)
Leaders
Courtney and Hall Crowder are the parents of four children who have
backgrounds in children and youth ministry. We have a desire to work with
youth in order that they will know Jesus Christ in a personal
relationship. We believe music is an excellent way to deepen ones faith.
Our singing is supported by a band made up of members of the choir.
We typically have enough players to form more than one band, so
they rotate for each song. Want

We've sent missionary
teams to Romania and Guatemala. We
also encourage students to be involved in local ministries in Manchester
and Boston.
We've made great friendships, with a
Christian foundation.
If you would like to know more, contact Adam
at the Church Office, or ask a friend who already attends to bring you
along.

Congratulations to the
Class of 2005!
