June serves on the Staff Care Team as an “International Staff Coordinator” for Latin America.  She is the primary stateside contact for some of the US staff serving overseas, making sure their needs are met and that they know they are valued and cared about.

Emmanuel Maria Charity Association (Romania)

Emmanuel Maria Foundation (EMF) is the local ministry established to raise support for the Emmanuel Maria Charity Association in Arad, Romania.  This Romanian ministry provides humanitarian aid and assistance by distributing food/clothing and providing social/psychological support for many people in this region, including families, children, and the elderly in nursing homes.

The 2016 Mission Team held VBS for children in Zarand and outlying villages, visited private and Government-sponsored nursing homes, and assisted the poor and needy during their trip in June.  Ongoing projects include making repairs to the mission school in Zarand, offering assistance to two young children with PKU, and providing funds for school bus tickets for the older children living in Zarand to attend high school.

Kids Alive – Dominican Republic

Anna Larson, a member of Bethany Covenant Church, graduated from Wheaton College in May 2013 and received her teaching certificate for Elementary Education in January 2014.  While serving as a summer intern in the Dominican Republic in 2012, Anna fell in love with the work Kids Alive was doing and the relationships she formed there.  After a brief visit in the summer of 2013, she felt called to return for a longer period of time and currently works with at-risk children in Jarabacoa.  “Thank you for your constant support and prayers for me in my time here.”
