The Bethany Covenant Women’s Worship Weekend is an
“in-church retreat”, an annual gathering of the women of Bethany and our
surrounding community to celebrate the love of Jesus in fellowship with
one another as we learn about God and grow in faith. The weekend provides
an opportunity for a retreat experience without having to leave town.
We hope you will join us as we learn together with the
teachings of Rev. Catherine Gilliard, the incredible music of the St.
Marie’s praise and worship band and the melodious harmonies of MAEVE. Join
us on a journey into the heart of God as we learn about His divine
provisions for us in spite of and often because of the challenges we face
in our lives.

Rev. Catherine Gilliard spoke at the Bethany
Covenant Women’s Retreat at Pilgrim Pines in NH this fall and our ladies
loved her so much, we had to have her back! She is Pastor of
Commissioned Disciples Covenant Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia, a
three year old church plant of the Southeast Conference of the ECC.
Pastor Gilliard also serves as President of the
Association for Covenant Clergy Women and as President of the
African American Ministers Association of the ECC. She also serves on
two Covenant commissions: The Biblical Gender Equality Commission and the
Ethnic Commission. Pastor Gilliard is married and the mother of three, two
adult sons and a teenaged daughter.
Rev. Gilliard will speak four times on the topic, God,
The Rock of Salvation: holding onto the rock when foundations crumble.
This special message of hope is not only for women in crisis but for all
women interested in growing in faith and surrendering their view of what
life should be in favor of the plan that God, the glorious creator has
ordained.
