"The Cup of Our Life" by Joyce Rupp
This class uses the image of a cup to explore the spiritual life.
Rupp shares how the ordinary cups that we use each day can become
sacred vessels that connect us with life and draw us ever closer to
God. Come and explore your relationship with God in a new and
different way. Facilitated by Anna Wallich
(6 week offering)
"Jewel in His Crown" by Priscilla Shirer
Priscilla Shirer helps us examine how our view of our worth deeply
affects our relationships. Women are becoming increasingly weary and
discouraged and are thus losing sight of their real value as
daughters of the King. Does that feel familiar to you? Come find
renewed strength as you learn your real value as God's dear child.
Facilitated by Diane Hallenbeck
Names of God
"Those who know your name will put their trust in you." Psalm
9:10a This study is a year-long exploration of the Names of God and
the Names of Christ as revealed in the Old and New Testaments. By
these names, God tells us about His character, attributes and
nature; when we discover together who He says He is, our faith will
grow as we learn to call Him by name. The class format will be
discussion with optional devotion assignments.
Facilitated by Leslie Ferwerda.
The Psalms: Songs of Truth, Cries of the Heart
The book of Psalms includes songs on a wide range of topics,
situations and emotions. They illustrate the nature of man and the
nature of God. They tell of man's relationship with God in the
personal, honest words of the songwriters. They are psalms of praise
and thanksgiving, psalms of sorrow and confession, and psalms of
questioning and supplication. One thing is sure: they cover the
entire gamut of human feelings and circumstances. This study will
look into these heartfelt words that are as relevant today as when
they were written. Facilitated by Terry
Barton
Hebrews
In the midst of persecution and rejection, the Hebrew believers were
tempted to hold onto the requirements of the old covenant, such as
idolatry and sacred rituals. Then God came to earth in human flesh
as the new covenant, and those believers found freedom in the
relationship they could have with Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews
reveals to us that Christ is higher than any priest, ritual, or
sacrifice. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Christ is the
perfect sacrifice, giving all believers complete access to God.
Facilitated by Cathy Schilling and Beth
Fitzgerald.
