Stewardship
We often think of Christian Stewardship from the viewpoint of “The Law.” As soon as someone mentions the word Stewardship most think of fundraising and many others turn their thoughts to tithing. At that point understanding, further communication and even self-examination is stigmatized. This is very unfortunate. Christian Stewardship should be thought of in terms of “God’s Grace,” “The Good News” and the Gospel. It should be thought of as a “Christian’s way of living in response to the Grace of God in Jesus Christ” and as everything we are, everything we do and every moment we live.
Throughout the months ahead, the Bethany Covenant Stewardship Ministry Team will endeavor to bring forth information, material and communications which would assist individuals to gain a personal understanding and application of how each of us can better utilize the resource of our very own life. It is believed that when we gain a vision of Christian Stewardship which emanates from a Christian-centered and Gospel-centered understanding of God’s Word, we will be able to place our lives and our stewardship in a proper perspective. We pray that we are up to the task and ask for your prayers, participation and provision.
