Stephen Ministry
Bear one another's burdens, and in
this way
you will fulfill the Law of Christ. --Galatians 6:2
Stephen Ministry is grounded
in Jesus' command to love one another. Our congregation has several
Stephen Ministers, and is training more.
Through one-to-one caring
relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need
to support and encourage them in their time of difficulty. At one time or
another, everyone experiences difficult times. Having someone to care, to
listen, and to share the love of Christ with you can help.

Who was Stephen? An ordinary Christian
appointed by the Apostles to look after those in need. His story is in the Book of Acts:
"Therefore, brethren, pick out from among you seven men of good
repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint to this
duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the
word. And what they said pleased the whole multitude, and they
chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit...And Stephen,
full of grace and power, did great wonders..." -- Acts 6:1-8.
