NEW ENGLAND SEAFARERS MISSION (NESM)

Bethany Covenant has made a commitment for the following seven dates (May to November) to volunteer at the Mission in Boston (8-10 volunteers needed unless otherwise noted): 

Friday, May 5  (Dawn) – Need 6-8 more volunteers!

Saturday, June 3 (Maasdam, Grandeur of the Seas) – Need 1-3 more volunteers!

Saturday, July 15 (Maasdam, Veendam) – Need 4-6 more volunteers!

Wednesday, August 2 (Rotterdam) – Need 5-7 more volunteers!

Saturday, September 16 (Anthem of the Seas, Veendam)

Wednesday, October 18 (Crystal Serenity, Zuiderdam) – Need 6-8 more volunteers!

Friday, November 3 (Dawn, Mariner) – Need 3-5 more volunteers!

All volunteers receive training and assistance to help seafarers contact home, send wages, and/or buy items they need at the Mission Store.  You do not need any particular experience or background!  ALL ARE WELCOME!  You will be helping where you will be most successful.  Carpools can be arranged; one day commitment; arrive by 9:00 and be on your way home by 3:00!

NE SEAFARERS BOSTON HARBOR SPECTACULAR – Sunday, June 18 (3:00-4:30 pm)

This is a wonderful way to support our mission partner!  Depart from Rowes Wharf and cruise around Boston Harbor for 1-1/2 hours on a private charter, the m/s Samuel Clemens, to view 44  of the world’s finest majestic sailing ships, including 14 Class A Tall Ships!  Boston will be the only US port of call for the ships on their way to Quebec City as part of SAIL BOSTON 2017!  Go to the NE Seafarers Mission website for more information and to buy tickets!

 

FOOD FOR CHILDREN

This inner-city ministry is looking for someone to take over their “Kids Club” program, a mini Bible camp for children on Saturday mornings @ JFK Coliseum in Manchester.  Please contact Pete Dalrymple for more details @ 620-4391.

 

NEW LIFE HOME FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN 

Volunteers needed for painting project!  Please reach out to Suzie Rankins if you can paint, patch/repair, or donate supplies.  Thanks so much for sharing your time and talents!

8th ANNUAL “RESCUE ME NOW” GOLF TOURNAMENT – Monday, June 5, 2017 @ Sky Meadow Country Club, Nashua.  Registration opens @ 6:15 am with breakfast snacks@ 6:30 am.  The tournament will kick off with a morning shot gun start @ 7:30 am, continue with 18 holes of challenging golf, and end with an awards luncheon plus plenty of surprises!  The desire is to make it a memorable day that will help support the life-changing work done at the New Life Home for Women and Children in Manchester, NH!  For more information, the Event Contact is Steven Dimond @ 339-368-0115.

 

FELLOWHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES (FCA)

The FCA Golf Tournament returns to the Manchester Country Club, Bedford, NH.  This will be the 6th year at this venue with a goal of 100 golfers!  The on-course contests will be fun and challenging.  Registration fee ($250)  includes pre-round lunch, 18 holes & golf cart, bag drop tip, post round buffet dinner, and awards ceremony!
